The total transformation of our condo is now well underway.
The tile floors are all down now in every room, the cabiets in the kitchen and bathrooms are hung, walls and ceilings are being painted and the granite countertops are set to go in this week.
Contractor Al McNew and his crew are busy tiling the bathrooms and awaiting delivery this week of all the appliances. All is also building the bunk beds for the third bedroom.
Our custom drapes an blinds are being made this week and our furniture is ready to be delivered the week of the 24th.
Jennifer and I are back in Michgan. We had two of or granddaughters in a big dance recital this weekend. They did two erformancs and we were so enthralled we stayed for both.
Then we're off to the Great Smoky Mountains. We're travel writers (see roadtreking.com) and we are leading a photo safari event there with a group of our readers and podcast listeners.
We'll leave that gathering to return to the condo where we'll be arranging and rearranging the furniture, hanging artwork and hopefully catching some Okaloosa Island beach time ourselves befre the first guests arrive in just over a month.
It's hard being 1,000 miles away from all the remodeling action, though. Contractor Al has been very patiet about my daily texts asking for photos and updates.
